AN INTRODUCTION TO FAMILY ESTRANGEMENT FROM JOSH AND BECCA

Take this starter course with Josh and Becca to learn more about family estrangement and what causes an individual to cut ties with a family member. We'll explore how prevalent it is, what causes estrangement in the first place and the impact of estrangement on the individual and the family. We'll explore what kinds of circumstances create pressure points for estranged adults and the core limiting beliefs that individuals who are estranged may hold about themselves. By the end of this level you'll know the basics and be better equipped to talk about the issue of estrangement to your clients and staff members.

LEARNING THE KEY TOOLS TO HELP PEOPLE EXPERIENCING ESTRANGEMENT

This level is all about deepening your skillset so you can work with clients and help them to move through estrangement and into either a new life without a family member or into reconciliation. We'll explore how to help your client write a good letter of grievance, that lands well, and also how to write a good letter of amends, that improves the situation and doesn't make it worse. We'll also explore how to work skillfully with abuse and adverse childhood experiences and move into how to encourage clients to be more self-loving.

DIVE DEEPER WITH JOSH AND BECCA’S EIGHT WEEK GROUP PROGRAMME

This level is a more personal deep dive with Josh and Becca. Join us in a weekly group live on zoom where we'll discuss themes you have learned in level one and two. You'll get the opportunity to ask Becca and Josh questions and bring case queries or curiosities. At the end of this part of the course, we'll give you the opportunity to apply to be part of our register of certified professionals.
